Miami Hockey School is committed to operating its summer camp program with the same professionalism and pride that is applied to the Miami University Ice Hockey Program. A detailed, organized, challenging, safe, and fun atmosphere is why Miami Hockey School continues to be a national leader in the camp industry.  We have an experienced and passionate staff that will do everything in their power to ensure your hockey player has a positive experience. Miami Hockey School has been providing innovative and top notch hockey instruction to players from across the country for over 30 years, and our extraordinary high rate of return campers is testament to our staff and campers commitment to excellence. 
 
Miami Hockey School’s 3 goals are to provide a safe camp atmosphere, help hockey players improve on and off the ice, and to provide an overall camp experience you won’t get anywhere else.  We offer 4 boy programs, 2 girl programs, and a Leadership program that cover both boy and girl camps (check out the program page above for more details). Each camp builds on one another which keeps the camp fresh for those who return.

On-ice activities include, skating sessions, skills, game situational play, and the end of the day scrimmage where campers can put into play the skills they have learned. Each session is run by 2 or 3 of our coaches (checkout the coach’s bio page) with help from 2 or 3 of our leadership participants. We strive to have a 7:1 coach to player ratio while on the ice. Our quality coaches have the experience to develop drills and sessions that cater to the age and level of the campers attending.

Off-ice activities, dry land sessions, video replay, and classroom sessions are every bit as important as the on-ice session.  Miami Hockey School has a dedicated classroom coaches who will critic all skating session during video replay.  The classroom coach will also run chalk talk sessions drawing and explaining how teams and players need to play in all three zones.

During off-ice activities, Miami Hockey School is fortunate to use Miami’s beautiful Recreation Sports facilities (Rec-Center).  Yoga, rock climbing, pool time, spinning classes, high/ low ropes courses, stick handling sessions, and group initiative are just some of the off-ice activities that are tailored to specific age and skill levels.
